A Call to Arms

This generation will not be like the last! (Psalm 78:8).

The tide of idolatry is turning and a call to repentance is sounding (Hosea 6:1-3). There’s a battle of eternal proportions taking place in the unseen, and we stand at a pivotal point in history where we must decide whether we fight or die (Joel 2). How do we fight? By destroying our idols and running unswervingly to proclaim, “The kingdom of God is near!” (Mark 1:15). We, as the church, must choose between light and darkness, and we must do it quickly - He is coming soon! (Revelation 22:12).

The people of God have been held in captivity for far too long. He is shaking our foundations of idolatry and breaking once more the chains that Christ died to set us free from. He is leading us back to our first love, but we must choose to follow ( Nehemiah 1:9, Revelation 2:4). This is the John the Baptist generation, and we must rise up to proclaim salvation and freedom to the nations – we must prepare the way for His second coming! (Isaiah 40:3).

The lukewarm must go. The LORD despises apathy, and apathy will not win the battle for eternity. He is beckoning His church to wake up, get off the fence, and fight for the hope that sets us free (Revelation 3:1-3, 15-16). If we want to see reawakening, we must take up our cross and follow with reckless abandonment. This generation will see a global reawakening if we are willing to fight for it. There’s no more time to wait. The church must rise up as the Bride of Christ now, and the Bride is a warrior. It’s time for the church to get off the sidelines and run to the battlefield in full knowledge that it will cost us our lives (Luke 14:26-27). We must remain in the Light and confront the darkness to reclaim the souls that have been held captive. This land will no longer serve pagan kings but will be wholeheartedly devoted to the King of all Kings!

Beloved, the Bride of Christ must not – can not - flirt with darkness! We will not win the nations to the King until we refuse to compromise! The tears of God are falling upon this generation crying, “Return to me, for I have redeemed you!” –Isaiah 44:22. He is shaking our generation to repentance, and we must choose the Kingdom that will not be shaken! (Hebrews 10:28-29). Beloved people of God, get back on your foundation, or you’re going to be shaken too!

This is a call to repentance, a call to holiness, and a call to arms. Are we willing to live in full abandonment to see His kingdom come, or will we be sleeping when He returns? The choice is yours, and the choice is now . . . choose wisely.
